A press shoot starts with the same question as a video: who are you, and what should a stranger feel in half a second of scrolling? We plan the concept and the locations to that answer, then art-direct on the day, because most musicians hate being photographed and it’s our job to make that invisible.
You leave with a set that works everywhere it has to, from a wide frame for the festival program to a tight one for the streaming profile.
Live, album art, and the rest of the cycle
Live photography runs on the same instincts as our concert filming. Anticipate the moment, work with the lighting that’s there, and never flash a performer mid-song. Shots come back fast enough to post while the night still matters.
Album and single artwork is where photography meets our design side, shot to a concept and finished to print spec, with the typography and layout handled in-house. One conversation covers the cover, the vinyl gatefold, and the Spotify Canvas.
For brands, the same eye
For companies we shoot the imagery that sits beside the video work: team photography, product and space shots, event coverage. The pictures come back looking like the subject on their best day.
The crew itself is the practical advantage. Book photography alongside a music video or brand film and the stills happen on a set that’s already lit, art-directed, and warmed up, which keeps the added cost small.

- What does a band photo shoot cost in Calgary?
- Press shoots typically run $400 to $1,200 depending on locations and how much art direction is involved. Live show coverage is less; full album art packages are quoted per project. Adding a photo day to a video shoot we're already on costs less than booking it separately.
- What do we get, and how fast?
- A curated, retouched selection, typically 20 to 40 finals from a press shoot, delivered within two weeks. We can turn around a handful of priority shots inside 48 hours when there's an announcement to hit. Files come sized for print, web, and every social crop.
- Do you photograph things besides bands?
- Yes. Team and headshot days, product and space photography, and event coverage for companies. It's the same approach we take with a band, applied to a founder or a storefront.
- Who owns the photos?
- You get full usage rights for promotion: press, socials, streaming profiles, posters, merch. We keep the edited set on file so re-requests are usually easy, and we ask for a credit where crediting is normal.
